About Us

A professional accountancy practice based in Blythe Bridge, Stoke-on-Trent, Key Accountancy Services covers Staffordshire, Cheshire and Shropshire.

Supporting start-ups, small businesses, sole traders and contractors, Key Accountancy Services was founded by Karen Lewis in 2013.

A local, family business with your best interests in mind

As a family-run practice, Key Accountancy Services understands the trials and tribulations of setting up and developing a business – even the setbacks and external worries of an ever-changing financial landscape.

Fortunately, as general accountancy practitioners, Karen and her team are well-placed to advise on the complexities of HMRC compliance and tax mitigation.

Offering a range of financial services, including straight-talking guidance and accountancy implementation, you can choose a level of service that works for you and your business.

For no-nonsense accountancy support and advice, contact the Key Accountancy Services team today on 01782 405442 or send a message.

Karen Lewis

FCCA, BSc, Xero certified advisor

Favourite mathematical formula: Differential equations and sound waves.
The best thing about working with figures: Figures are black and white – they are either right or wrong with no in between and there’s nothing better than balancing a bank account.
Pet hate: The month of January, specifically 31 January is the worst day of the year
Pet love: Introducing clients to Xero and see them realise how much easier bookkeeping really can be. Ticking the right boxes on the correct forms to bring everything together for the best outcome.

In her spare time, Karen enjoys walking, rugby (can you believe she used to play in one of the first ladies teams in Norfolk in her childhood?), visiting the theatre, watching Wimbledon, and cooking anything spicy.

Stephen Lewis

Level II AAT, working towards a Xero certified qualification

The best thing about working with figures: Mathematics is in the blood, so much so, Stephen passed his GCSE one year early
Pet hate: Too much spicy food (Karen has a habit of insisting on it)
Pet love: Darts, darts and more darts – four local teams to be precise

In his spare time, Stephen is a fan of many sports, including walking and cycling. He enjoys listening to music (proper music with traditional instruments) and insists that cooking needs to be accompanied by a glass of wine.
