Favourite mathematical formula: Differential equations and sound waves.
The best thing about working with figures: Figures are black and white – they are either right or wrong with no in between and there’s nothing better than balancing a bank account.
Pet hate: The month of January, specifically 31 January is the worst day of the year
Pet love: Introducing clients to Xero and see them realise how much easier bookkeeping really can be. Ticking the right boxes on the correct forms to bring everything together for the best outcome.
In her spare time, Karen enjoys walking, rugby (can you believe she used to play in one of the first ladies teams in Norfolk in her childhood?), visiting the theatre, watching Wimbledon, and cooking anything spicy.
The best thing about working with figures: Mathematics is in the blood, so much so, Stephen passed his GCSE one year early
Pet hate: Too much spicy food (Karen has a habit of insisting on it)
Pet love: Darts, darts and more darts – four local teams to be precise
In his spare time, Stephen is a fan of many sports, including walking and cycling. He enjoys listening to music (proper music with traditional instruments) and insists that cooking needs to be accompanied by a glass of wine.
Jane has worked on the admin side for accountants/financial planners all her working life.
Pet hate: Bad spelling and grammar
Pet love: Travel – preferably the adventurous kind! Highlights have included backpacking around Australia, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, white water rafting the Zambezi river and trekking to Timbuktu. Jane even met her Egyptian husband while hiking in the Sinai Desert!
In her spare time, Jane helps to run the local Scout Group, sings in a choir, plays tennis and enjoys camping and watersports with her family.
The best thing about working with figures: Everything has an equal and opposite equation and must balance
Pet hate: People dropping litter
Pet love: Travel and visiting new places
In her spare time, Claire loves walking her dog, sharing a meal with family and enjoying coffee or cocktails with friends and watching live music or comedy.
